Our volunteer archivist, Teresa Betts, has provided the following information about this photo:
The Head Miss May Rowland Brown (but she might just have married as it is 1924) is at the centre of the image, sitting to her left (right of her as you look at photo) is her mother Mrs Alice Rowland Brown.
As you look at photo two along from May on right (one of 4 wearing white blouse) is Miss Elinor Brent-Dyer (who taught English and was only briefly at St Helen's but who wrote "The Chalet School" books based on St Helen's), just along from the four in white wearing a dark jacket is Miss Muriel Davidson (who taught music - piano and was at St Helen's for 36 years retiring in 1961).
